Hi All. First post here, as I just got a 2014 T4R Trail. Not my first foray into Toyota off road vehicles though. I just traded in my 2008 FJ Cruiser for this. I was originally trying to get another FJ, but they are gone. Got to looking into the T4R, and the rest is history. I've barely gotten it dirty yet, but I'm impressed so far. Much nicer ride in civilization than the FJ was, but my FJ was a beast off road. Looking forward to putting this one through the paces. I'm not a serious off-roader, but I get into some pretty interesting stuff as a Nature and Wildlife photographer. I definitely depend on my vehicle to get me in and out of the best spots. I'm pretty sure this one will be up to the task.

I loved my FJ too....especially as a photography vehicle. That said, I agree with you that the back seats are not very good for people hauling. Tough to get in and out of, and just a tad uncomfortable for any adult. The 4Runner is MUCH nicer in that department for sure. Highway ride is also much quieter in the 4Runner. More comparisons to come as I put this one through the tests of nature photography (as compared to the FJ....which set a pretty high bar).
My 4Runner is Silver, and you'll see it with a Malone folding kayak rack on top (passenger side). I go all over really, and consider everything south of Orlando my "territory". I live out in Gateway (Fort Myers).
