Hey Guys,

I want to start out by saying "HI". I recently bought a 2007 Sport Edition (Shadow Mica Grey) 4Runner and I am loving it. This is my first SUV and I wanted one of the best, hence the 4Runner. I've been reading up on the site over the last couple weeks and thought I'd join. Great information here, I'm looking forward to learning a lot about my vehicle (and helping when I can).

Also my quick question: I will need new tires soon. I was looking through my local craigslist and noticed someone selling some Nitto Terra Grapplers (265/70R17) that are 2 weeks old, for pretty cheap. Claims they didn't like them on their 4runner. I don't plan on doing much, if any offroading, so would that be a decent tire for me or might it be too stiff, noisy, not last very long? Thanks for any and all input guys.

Hey I am from WI also!

08 Shadow Mica V8 Limited, where you located?

As far as the tires, they are a little more aggressive than what you may want if you don't plan on doing any off roading. I would suggest looking at more of a highway tire if you know you are keeping it on the road. However if the price is right, and you may plan on doing some off roading then give them a shot.

Welcome! I am from WI too! I also recently bought an 06 Sport which was my first SUV as well. You will love your 4Runner and this site! The forum has been very helpful and informative to me. As far as tires, if you don't plan to do much off roading a lot of people on here seem to like the Bridgestone
Revo 2's. Another popular choice is the Firestone Destinations which rank higher than the Revo's on Tirerack.com. Both are all terains but without super aggressive tread patterns. Good luck!

klennop, I am in Menomonee Falls, where are you located?

I'm currently in the Green Bay area, but will be moving to Appleton this summer. And as far as the Nitto's go I figured they were too aggressive for me, and yeah I've been looking at the Revo2's. Thanks guys.

I was born and raised in Fond du Lac, but currently live in Appleton.
