Just wanted to introduce myself. I've been lurking around here for the past month or so and finally picked up a Galactic Gray 08 4Runner v6 4WD Sport a couple of weeks ago.

I was planning to keep it stock and just be happy but thanks to this site, i have already changed a few things....

XD 5000k HID low beams(with dreams of a tsx conversions)
XD 3000k HID fogs
Leather interior (dealer installed)
color-keyed grille
xenon light replacement for interior and license plate (friend had a few left over from his kit)

wish list:
DNX7100 (once CC gets the metra TYTO-01 back in stock)
LED interior light upgrade (shipped today)
Jaos center protector (once burtmanindustries.com gets a few in stock)
Husky Liners (is the 08 2nd row different than the 07's?)

Hopefully that will be it....

here is a quick pic of my dirty truck (no sunny days in sight here in seattle so it's going to be dirty for awhile)

yeah, jaos is expensive. but i just love the look of them. it actually might be a good thing that they are out of stock. Since the snow is coming, my car fund will switch to my snowboard fund in less than a month. Once that happens, no more new toys for the 4Runner until May.

Quick question for you... Did you order that color keyed grill seperate, or are the Sport Editions no longer Smoked chrome in 08?

"hopefully" is definitely the operative word...the more time i spend on the site, the more ideas i get.

Well it seems like whistler is opening up next weekend so it looks like the jaos stuff may have to wait until spring. maybe by that time something else might catch my eye.

No, i ordered the grille through partznet. the 08's still come with the smoked chrome grille

i didn't want to call you out as the reason why i want the tsx retro:D I definitely used your shield mod for what i have now (thanks by the way!!) the retro won't happen for a little while, so it will give me some time to gather all the parts.

np, as long as either retrofit or shield mod can help you! yea, i stayed at the shield mod for awhile and was happy with the result.
well, my tsx maybe off the truck in the future.... i am already debating on s2k...:D :D :D

any major difference between spread and intensity between the tsx vs the s2k?

hell yea, s2k is brighter and wider.... but also the projectors itself is double the cost.... :D
i could manage to tweak the tsx to somewhat sharp and wide, but still cannot compare with s2k tho....

hmmm, interesting...maybe i'll wait to see your s2k setup before i make any decisions.

i wish i have that money now.... if not, i can't tell the exact date when i will be doing s2k.... a nice pair of clear lens s2k could run $350 :bash: :bash: ......

so i may just stick with my tsx for awhile. i mean my tweaked tsx are wide and nice for now....

and i have an extra pair of clear lens tsx laying around for now... donno what to do with them yet, maybe just tweaking the extra pair and see what i can do...... let me know if you are ready to shoot for tsx, and by then i'll see if i still have the extra pair handy...
 
looks great and welcome here if you can when u have time can u post pics of ur runner at night with the lights and fogs on ive been thinking of doing that but have been wondering wat it looks like ive already done light conversion on lows and pondering about fogs thanks dude

Ok, it's raining here in seattle so the pictures aren't that great plus my camera doesn't take good night time shots. Once there is a dry day, i'll clean the lenses and take another set of pics.
