New Member, Hi There!!

Hello all,

this looks like a great site, been looking arround for the last few days.
I am the happy owner of an 05 SE with the V8, moon roof, extra air bags and 4X4.
I have owned many hard core rigs such as a scout, early bronco, wranglers, cherokee's.
I wasn't familiar with the t4r until very recently and was looking to buy a tundra, but my wife couldn't drive it well enough!!
A dealer told me that runners now have v-8 power and that was a big thing 4me as i have a heavy boat.
Well we test drove a limited, she drove it easily and we bought one a week later after I quickly researched it.
IMHO, the t4r is quite the truck, cant wait to take her in2 the dirt .

I was a professional mechanic for many years, a h.s. auto shop teacher and got in2 hi-tech as an engineer for the last 20 years.
I had a unique job for a year as the fleet mgr for 45 exotic cars. i've been lucky enough to regularly drive carerra gt's, many differnet ferrari's, lambo's, other porsches and all the lesser cars in the fleet that we would loan out (m3's,m5's, z06's, etc.)
We also had the x-5 and cayannes as grocery getters all hot rodded to the max and equipped with 40-50k sound systems as the company I worked for is Monster Cable.

Whew, look foward to chiming in on a regular basis, the T4R sure is a "supercar" to me!

HAHA, well yeah, i could c how u could say that, we owned a couple of s2000's too which is the sports car that i can afford to own and i don't think of it as a lesser car.

Thanks for all the kind words and marriage offers, I wish i owned the Ferrari, I just get to drive them, bring em home on weekends, and go to race tracks with them , all the time in the past and less frequently now. I was talking to my ex boss and owner of all these cars today about my new 4runner and how I thought it was a worthy replacement for the german suv's he owns after being suitably hot rodded and maybe going for the lexus model with all the extra luxury that he loves.
When I used to show these cars at events I would get plenty of favorable comments from nice looking babes sometimes from their mom's some of whom would comment out loud about what a suitable match I would make . its pretty crazy what huge symbols of $$ can do.
If you would like to c some other car pics, let me know, when I read drive tests in mags about enzo's, murceilago's or carerra gt's its nice to be able to separate the fact from fiction personally!!

Seriously though, I'm not trying to sound like an idiot. I'm just a car freak. I've only ever seen 2 Lamborghini's in person. One was an older yellow Countach and the other was a black Diablo. Both were on the back of a flat-bed semi, owned by two 24 year old entrepreneurs :bugeye:!

I'm interested in any more of those pics you got. If you want or when you have time fire me off an email with 'em.

*Edit - add on - I imagine you've driven the 360 in your avatar (that is a 360 spider right?), or one like it. Is that the best handling Ferrari or what? Ever had the chance to get into an F50? How much different is the Enzo and the F50? Sorry for pounding you with questions, I don't mean to highjack the thread. I just go crazy over Ferrari's, definately my favorite exotic out there .

No problem I love talking not typing about these cars and really enjoyed showing them. I've driven a number of them, some extensively and others just a quick fling behind the wheel. One thing that them pretty much have in common is lotta engine noise (nothing refined here) a beautiful curvy fender view out the front window and incredible handling. The enzo (quick road test) is an absolute shocker, its on of the fastest cars i've driven and i was too awed by my 15 minute drive to speak in a lot of detail. I've driven 360 spiders and coupes plus the Stradale track car with launch control and other goodies extensively in both f1 and manual gearbox configs. They are my favorite ferrari one reason is they are the most practical of italian supercars - reliable, reasonable on gas, the v8 is a much better deal for the average guy than the v12 and they are simply gorgeous. They are a bit twitchy to drive and i would've liked 450-500hp instead of the 405 or 425 in the stradale. The coupe is the easiest to maintain as the spiders softop is a real murphys law and when it breaks which is often it can damage the bodywork too. Also it locks automatically down so when that gives you trouble theres no choice but a tow. I also drove a 575 maranello extensively and totally blew away my son by letting him drive it too!! It was a factory demo that i had for a few weeks so it was insured by ferrari of america. I've also driven f355's, an old barracha and the new superamerica with the glass retractable top.
THe launch control is just like on the f-1 cars and taken off the enzo, you hold the brake down, hit the launch button, the revs build and as soon as you release the break off you go!!
