I recently acquired an 82 diesel pickup and a 88 4runner. 342000 and around 250 respectively. A local mechanic is putting a chain on the 22r for 125 bucks. I can work walking distance from my house and make that daily so I am letting him do the chain. I also ordered over 300.00 of parts for the diesel including all new wheel cylinders, hardware, and shoes. Also a clutch kit and timing set. It is in very good cosmetic shape and runs well for 340K. I will have to mod the glow plug activation like we did on the 84 f250 6.9 diesel. I ordered a relay with keypod wireless control and thought I would put one one the truck keys to activate and turn off the glow plugs. The relays if available would be around 400 bucks for both. I got a deal on the truck for a grand and 900 for the 4 runner. I will get some pictures up. This is my first auto/truck forum but I have been active on a few motorcycle threads for a while now. Someone direct me to a diesel wiring diagram??
