How’s it going… I just joined the forum but should have joined long ago. Here’s my story. I bought my T4R new in ’04. It had 1 mile on it when I test drove it and 11 miles on it when I drove it off the lot. 85k miles later it’s going strong. Probably the best purchase I’ve ever made…because I tow A LOT. I tow a 2,000 lbs. trailer loaded up with a 3,300lbs car just about every week. I scrap a lot of cars that I part out and I use my T4R to take the empty shells to the recycler. I tip the scales at over 9,000 lbs. when I pull up and I still weight over 7,000 lbs empty (which tells you how damn heavy my trailer is). I’m long overdue for those air bags in the coils to keep the back from sagging. I have to admit I’ve over done it once or twice… I once towed a 24’ enclosed trailer with a 3,300 lbs Porsche in it from NJ back down to MD. No sway control, no air bags and no weight distributing hitch… swaying was a problem. But, the T4R handled it. People were staring at this SUV towing a trailer that was longer than the SUV. Best truck I’ve ever owned. I need to search these forums to see how I can make the most of it as a tow rig... Air Ride 1000 is a definate.
