Nice looking truck. That '04 sport looks great too. Just keep in mind, you'll be losing some of the features going from Limited to Sport, and you'll also be losing the projector headlights and LED taillights (you can add those on though)

Either way you can't really lose. Each truck has its ups and downs, but in the end whichever one you go with is still a 4Runner! Congrats on the purchase, and once again, welcome!

Thanks everyone for the input. It really helped me decide. The V8 dealer wouldn't meet me where I wanted. I ended up going with the truck I already bought. If turns out that it's not enough power then I'll worry about that then.

2007 Limited w/ 74k miles.

I'm on a business trip for 2 to 3 months but I'm eagerly waiting to get back and hit the open road with it. I'm sure I will be back to ask questions on the local forums about what unpaved roads we shouldn't miss.

Right now our road trip route is:
Chicago to
Boulder/Estes Park Colorado
Sundance/ Utah
Trucke/Yosemite/San Fran/ California taking the cost up to
Crater lake/Eugene, Oregon
Tacoma/Seattle, Washington
(if we have time, we want to save this for sprint 2013) Glacier Mountain NP/ Montana
West side of North Dakota
Minneapolis/ MN
Back to Chicago

Pack up and move to Colorado.

Personally i would go with the V8 04'

the 07 is overpriced @ 21,000

i picked up my 2005' SR5 V8 in 2009 with 43,000 Cert to 100K, 17" wheels, DVD player out the door for $20K

lol did you even read the thread? the dealer also wanted $21k for the 04. If you think the 07 is overpriced how do you feel about that 04?

To the OP - I hope you enjoy your purchase. Go ahead and change the fluids (oil, differential and possibly coolant) and also change your plugs.
