Hey

New member here on the hunt for a 3rd Gen Runner. I had a 98 back in the day and absolutely loved it! Since then I've been pushing a 92 Toyota 4x4 as my daily driver for the winter. I also have a '01 BMW M5 and R1 as my nice weather toys. I just sold the Toyota last week so I'm a little anxious to replace it. Having said that....I want to take my time and find a good one. It's been a little difficult figuring out pricing. I'm still new to navigating around this site so if someone could point me to a used Runner checklist,things to look for or something to help me during my search I'd really appreciate it! I've only been on this site for a week and I love the wealth of information on here already!!! Looking forward to becoming a contributing member!

My buddy is selling a '99 in the Sterling area - where in NOVA are you at. Search "chance to buy another 4R" in the 3rd gen forums, thread is by me. It's pretty loaded. Welcome BTW.

Thanks man! I'll check it out. I have two scheduled to look at on Saturday. I have to go to Baltimore so I'm hoping it is worth the fight through weekend traffic. One is described as close to perfect and the other.....uh...not so much. Not too picky since this will be replacing my daily driver, but I don't want to invest too much "grunt" and money to get it looking decent.

Oh yeah... I'm in Southbridge(really Dumfries/Woodbridge but the community fought to have their own name) and work in Fair Lakes.
