Well, after about half a year of lurking in these forums, I've recently found the truck that I have been looking for. It's a terrific 08 Limited with the V8, and I couldn't be happier. Will start looking into mods over the winter.
I've been driving (older) Volvos for the last 16 years, part of the reason I loved them was the motivated and tight-knit owner community. I grew to respect the endurance and performance of Toyota 4x4s in some gnarly, dusty parts of S. Asia, but it was the information and camaraderie in these forums that tipped me away from the Germanic diesels (X5, etc) that I began my search for.
