I've gleaned this site for many technical articles and finally decided to join the party!
My first 4Runner, many years ago, was a 1990 3.0 V6 5 speed with 92K. I added rear lift springs, ARB in the rear, Tru-trac in the front and 32 inch BFG's. Aside from being low on power, it was great off-road. Sold it with 232K miles still going strong.
Next up was a 1998 4Runner I bought 8 years ago with 95K miles. I took a break from modding and just enjoyed it for awhile. But then....it was time for sound proofing, stereos, intake mods, and a Toytec lift. Now with only 139K miles, it's For Sale because.....
I just bought a 2010 Trail Edition with only 19K miles on it! Wow, the best 4Runner yet!! I drove it 11 hours home and it is amazingly comfortable, great on power, and decent fuel economy. The previous owner was kind enough to stuff 275/70s Cooper A/Ts on it and install rock sliders. Next up is a lift and I'm ready to go.
It's been raining, but I'll post pix when I can. Let the fun continue!!
