New Member! Need a little help

hello everyone. i've just acquired my very own 2001 sr5 and am very proud of it. i'm actually moving over to 4runner.org from clublexus.com as i used to drive a gs300. my quick question is...

how exactly do i remove the front lights that blink when the remote is used to unlock/lock? i looked in the manual, but the picture is very vague and it seems there is a screw i need to get off, but i can't seem to spot one behind the light anywhere. i know theres the top one but can't seem to pull the fixture out. reason being i need to change the bulb! thanks guys!

its just the one on top, if i recall...its just a little hard to pop out...the bottom has no screw, just a little "tip" that goes in a hole...so just give it a solid pop and it will come right out

the side corner lights (parking lights)

that lens is a pain to get off especially the first time.

A thin blade screwdriver (use masking tape to soften the edge) may help to give some leverage against the headlight, don't force anything, and pull the lens straight forward to remove.

There is only the one top screw, which you can only get to with the hood open. Once you have it out once it will go in and out easier-it is just the first time is a pain.

use your fingernails to get behind the lens in the rear towards the fender-also use the flat blade skinny screwdriver for leverage there-pushing/pulling always straight forward. It will just suddenly "pop" so be ready to catch it.

wiggle just a smidge from side to side to loosen it up. Once you have it out you will understand how it stays in so tight.
