I traded my 2003 Sport V8 with230+K miles this weekend for a new 2013 Trail w/ KDSS.
I have been lurking for months to help me decide what to upgrade to. I was all over the map considering a low mile 2007-8 V8 limited to heavily modify (I loved my V8 and Xreas) to a new 2014. I found a brand new (80 MILES) 2013 Trail this weekend and bought it. I had intended to buy a 2010-13 used low miles Trail w/ KDSS but they are difficult to find.
I loved my 2003 and thought Gen 5s were ugly but their appearance has grown on me. I hope the KDSS will corner as well as my old 2003 w xreas did and I will find out soon enough. I will miss the V8 grunt when pulling onto busy road but I am waiting to break in a little before I really stomp accelerator. I hope tp get better mpg due to v6 and 2wd on highway. The nice thing about old runner was I was always in 4WD during changing conditions(ie rain changing to snow while gaining elevation, a situation I am often in.) I liked the fact that my old Ford Exploder would automatically switch into 4Wd.
I've rambled on enough but I look forward to receiving advice regarding my forthcoming lift/tires/wheels etc. I kept my 2003 stock but I have the upgrade bug for this one.--Dave
