Hello everyone,
Just joined here since I picked up a new (to me) 4runner. I needed to upgrade since the family has outgrown my '93 extra cab. I also need something that can do a little light duty towing since I take my motorcycles to the track quite often (too often if you ask my wife) This is my 6th Toyota. My first car was a '91 Corolla, then I had an '87 4runner, two extra cab 4x4's, a '92 and '93, my wife has an '09 Corolla and now I have an '05 4runner SR5. I guess you could say I like Toyotas.
I would have preferred a limited or sport, but the only ones I saw were a little more than I wanted to pay. The only real upgrades that I would have liked are the power seats, NAV and heated mirrors. I'll be putting the heated mirrors on since they seem to be a direct swap and I found a set for cheap and they are color matched to the body and not black plastic. The NAV will come after I sell my '93, as I currently have a deck in the 4runner that I don't like and want to be able to use the steering wheel controls. Any suggestions on a stock looking NAV system that uses the steering wheel controls and has bluetooth are welcome. Hopefully the wiring isn't too hacked up from the install. Heated seats would have been nice, so I'll have to keep an eye out for a set or kit to do that.
