New member with a new rig, mods and pics

Hello, I am a new member to these forums, but I know some of you already from other boards. I hear these boards are
more oriented to 4th gens than others, so I wanted to stop by. I recently received a special order 2007 4Runner Sport
4x4 V8 that took almost 5 months to receive. I have had a 3rd gen for quite some time now so getting another 4Runner
was a no brainer.

I am only on the second tank of gas but I have a couple of the basic "must do" mods done already.
I just posted a bunch of write ups and pics out on my site if you may be interested. One of them, the Fulltime 115V Mod,
may be a first. I know everybody does the Fulltime 12V Mod, but haven't saw anyone do the 115V mod yet, I am sure it
will come in handy at times. Check it out.

Wow nice site, and welcome aboard. I'm a noob here but not a noob to the automotive forums, as I'm an admin over on DodgeTrucks.org. Good to see a dedicated new member come aboard with lots of knowledge!!
 
Yes I must say I have been on your personal site before and now that you have the same SE (minus a year) that I have and color I am worried I will get too many ideas.

Great choice on the Husky Liners vs the mats, I went with the mats and I can tell you the snow and salt on the rugs is a killer. I am gong to switch to the Liners before the start of this winter season for sure, the back liner that covers the middle hump it what sells it for me.

I am torn on the debadging, I like it some days and others I am not sure. Does this mean I just remove a couple :)


I also changed out the colored key grille and like it a lot more, the smoked chrome grill was too much.

My latest addition was going to the Wet Okole seat covers, with two hunting dogs, the cloth seats were a pain in the A$$.

Welcome J.A.,I've referred to and referred plenty of others to your site over the years for anything to do with the Highlander editions of 4Runners and your history link is second to none for quick references on the differences of all the years.
 
Like everyone else said already, your site kicks ass man. Keep up the good work. Top notch! I'll be referencing your site for a few of your mods in the near future. :bigok:

Thanks for the comps on the site guys. When I first found VMags 4Runner forums more than 8 years ago, it actually seemed like more people at that time had personal 4runner sites. It was and is a great way to share pic and info. So I started my site up and kept it going ever since.

I think that with the forums that we have nowadays which allow you to upload pics to the forum server actually has decreased the need to have a personal site. Take for example the 4Runner Topsites list, it has the same if not less sites than it did many years ago. With the exception of Good Times / Lance there are no 4th gens listed there. T4R.org has 10k members primarily 4th gen owners. You can get webhosting for $3/ month. Not sure why more 4R enthusiasts dont keep up a basic site, any thoughts?
