New Member with few questions

Hey Guys,

Just got myseflt a used '03 4Runner LTD. I am so new all these and so I have few questions.

1. My 4Ruuner do have DAC, Central locking differential, HI-LO switch. So I am sure mine is 4WD as the dealer said. But the badge on the outside dont say 'Limited 4WD'. There is just one badge on the passenger and it says 'Limited'. Why is that?

2. My dealer said I have XREAS. How do I confrim this? I do have Rear height adjustment. Does that mean I have XREAS?

I don't have XREAS, so I don't know how to tell if you do. I know the Sports have it, not sure about the Limiteds.. It probably does..

So is there no other badges, including the drivers door? The previous owner may have debadged it..

best guess is someone debadged it...I learned early in my "driving career" that badges don't mean squat, so...

this one's easy. just kneel down and look under the body, behind the running boards about between the drivers and rear door and look for the frame. you should see a cylinder there with tubing coming from the back going into it, and tubing going out of the front heading off to the front. that's the center actuator for half of the system. the other thing you can look for is see if you have tubing going into the shocks that are inside the coils just behind the wheels...

You probably have a V6.

I'm a little confused on why you purchased the car before your questions were answered to complete satisfaction....

It was easy to check. I have a badge 'V8' on the front. . Just kidding.

The 4WD badge: I think Canadian models don't have the 4WD badge since all of them come with 4WD. Yours might be a Canadian model? It's kind of a long shot, but that could be one possibility, another is that the previous owner took it off. Worst case: It was involved in an accident and they didn't replace it and just decided to take the one on the other side off. Yeah, I might be thinking way off base here.

X-REAS: XREAS was included with the rear air suspension on Limited models, so if you have the air suspension, you have XREAS.

You are correct. Its imported in Canada.

Are there any disadvantage of these? I have my gauages in miles and temperatures in F.
