New here, thought I'd say hello. I've got a '92 T4R. I bought it for a song and a dance in Toronto a couple years ago after my Pathfinder crapped-out. I've been relatively happy with it, it's our winter truck and a daily driver for my wife right now but when she gets a new car it'll be my daily driver. I've gotta say I'm not happy with the power though, we have a lot of big trucks on single lane highways around here and the passing power of this 3.0 is severely lacking. I'd also like a solid front axle to handle tall tires to get through some of the snow we get out here. I have a few ideas in mind: solid front axle (to handle the big tires), 38+" tires with lift and trimming to fit, 5.0L EFI mated to the stock 5-speed. I'd like to keep the lift to a minimum and trim as much as possible to make room for the tires so that stability isn't compromised. It's got some pretty good rust around the wheel wells anyways so I don't mind cutting it up and putting in some kind of flares in. Maybe replace the coil shocks on the rear axle with leafs (what are the pros & cons to this?). Anyways, here's a couple pictures (with my summer ride too). Any ideas or a point in the right direction with regards to my project would be much appreciated. Cheers!
