hello forum, I just brought home a silver 04 4Runner with V8 engine and 148,000 miles. It was kind of by default that I got the truck. I bought an 04 Honda Pilot off a used car lot and when I had it home for the weekend I discovered that it had a bad torque converter issue and was making rumbling noises. I brought it back to the dealer to try and get my money back. They said they would fix it so I left it for a week. When I returned, all they did was change the tranny fluid. I really wasnt happy with that since they said they would fix it so I still insisted on getting back my money. They offered me another car off the lot. Since I was feeling that they were not about to give me my money back I started looking at what was available. I saw the 4Runner and took it for a drive. The V8 is a BEAST! Then I started to think how better this would be to tow my toys and decided to swap. It does make awful grunting noises going slow over bumps so I think there is a problem with bushings or shock or struts or something. Anyone know what this might be? Other than that and the remote does not close the back window it seems to be fine. I found out the truck has been serviced regularly at Toyota except the damn timing belt! I kinda think I overpaid (9,000) for this truck but I did not want to take the Pilot home. I accidently started the car with the door remote but I cant figure out how to start it again?
