New Mexico 4Runner Owners Thread

Usually get off at 3 on Saturday but this week it's 4. So no go for me this week unfortunately. You guys heading up through the Gilman tunnel area? Another good road is the first right turn past the Cochiti golf course. It's kind of a long trip though.
 
I apparently blend in pretty well with the 4Runner crowd...Yall missed out on an incredible weekend at the Colorado Toyota Jamboree. One of these weekends i would like to run up there and camp and meet some new people from up in the ABQ area.

It wasn't too bad. Had a minor set back in my Toy but all is good now. We are doing a day trip on Saturday up to Jemez. But I think [MENTION=124673]Dbart82[/MENTION] is planning a camping trip at the end of the month.

Glad things ended up alright for you, I'll try and keep an eye out for the camping trip towards the end of the month.

That's funny. I'm an Express Jet pilot (acey). Usually I'm based out of IAH but I'm transferring to DFW in September. I'm sure we've talked on the radio before. The family also has a plane hangared at Dubble Eagle.

So the plan is to meet at Home Depot on US-550 at 1500 tomorrow 8/15. From there we will make the trip up to the Jemez. We are guessing it should take us about 4-5 hours round trip. Hope anyone and everyone who is free can make it. If you are wanting to go, PM me and I'll shoot you my cell #

Does anyone else around here use a CB? I finally upgraded my antenna and cut up my own mount. This is the outcome. I will probably trim the mirror bracket later.

Pics didn't show on my phone. I used to use a cb but honestly it was kind of a pain. I ended up using walkies most of the time.
 
Holy crap! Yesterday's trip was, um, interesting to say the least. Definitely the hardest trail I have been on. And don't really want to do it again lol. But 5 hours later and we all made it off the trail safely and our T4R's were unharmed. I'm sure there are tons of pictures and videos to come. But thanks to [MENTION=122186]pefiln[/MENTION], [MENTION=100711]cmitch[/MENTION] and our buddy for coming out.

P.s. the pictures are from the beginning of the trip when we thought everything was going to be kosher. I'm not sure if we got any pictures of the difficulty

Looks like a good time. Also, my CB setup is the Midland 75-822 and wiring it up was actually really easy. I've been researching it a bunch recently just cause I wanted to get this upgrade done.

I have been wanting to get a CB but I'm not sure where I would mount it or where I would find the money for it haha I'm sure I wouldn't use it that often but it would have came in handy yesterday
