And sounds good. I've found some stuff in the Jemez but I'll look around at the Puerco. I've actually never been in it but I've heard it can be a bit challenging.

And now I remember why I try not to make plans in advance... Wife just found out today she is working on Monday so all the errands we were going to do on Monday are now getting good pushed back into the weekend. The Puerco sounds fun this Sunday, especially now since it is starting to cool off. I haven't been down to the Puerco in years but it can get pretty sandy so it is good to have at least someone else with you. I've found some good info on that area here CAPTAIN SWOOP'S NEW MEXICO 4x4 TRAIL LIBRARY: RIO PUERCO. I have actually been wanting to do the trail that starts in Rio Rancho and work my way down to I40 for a while now.

So I hate to admit but even I am now starting to get quite a bit of plans this weekend making it a little difficult to pull off a trip. [MENTION=127872]runenr[/MENTION] and I figured maybe we plan something a little further out to try to fit more people's schedules. We are thinking Sunday Sept 20. Hopefully with this being 2+ weeks out we can get a large of us together. How does this sound to everyone? I am thinking we could do the Puerco from Rio to I-40 or vice-verse, like how [MENTION=124673]Dbart82[/MENTION] suggested.

880 /5100 up front
99 talls / 5100s out back with trim packers.
Ill be doin lbj and sway bushings at the same time.
Heres the big question???
Im a DIY guy and never have to take my trucks to a shop for anything, so who do yall trust to do a good alignment???

Sounds like a good setup you'll have there. While I don't have any experience with any alignment shops, a quick Google search repeatedly brought up chet's and had many good reviews. There are some bad as well but all of them seem to have some bad reviews. Here is what I found https://local.intuit.com/b/chetswheelalignment

I've always thought about doing the Firestone lifetime alignment. But I've heard mediocre comments on it and every time you bring your car in they want to fix something else.

Well I'll start the vendor list by saying don't go to Audio Express for your stereo needs. I've always done my own installs anyway but I went in just to see what they'd say and was quoted over $850 for for what I was able to do for around $300. That's almost worse than a stealership screwin'

I've always thought about doing the Firestone lifetime alignment. But I've heard mediocre comments on it and every time you bring your car in they want to fix something else.

That sounds like a good deal too. I did read a couple of local reviews on Firestone of people being denied their lifetime alignment after having a lift installed. May have just been a couple of isolated cases but it's worth making sure to ask or get in writing that they will honor the lifetime alignment regardless of modifications.

Yah I asked one Firestone and they said that a lift won't void anything. But they also said that the alignment would not be exact cause of the change in camber

I know in Santa fe affordable alignments has always done mine and there great.

Yea, Im sure any shop will be able to get my 4runner back into spec. This is only 880/5100 set at 0 on the front. 1.75'' lift?

I worry that they are going to use the "we had a hard time loosening the bolts on your 15 year old truck, its going to be $50 extra.
Im going to call 3-5 places including Toyota ABQ dealer and see what the prices are and the overall feel when speaking to the quote people.
I'm expecting to hear $75 ish for alignment?????

Yes audio express is a joke! They cut the wiring harness in my friends car and hardwired his HU in. A wiring harness is $6.99. Installs are pretty easy if you take your time.

Lets add discount tire to the bad list. They are so speedy in getting customers through their store that they ran their impact gun into my wheel years ago and tried to deny any wrong doings. In the end they ended up replacing my wheel. If you do go there walk out with the manager and visually inspect each wheel before they touch your truck.

Albuquerque Tire will beat their prices and warranty any day of the week. Owner operated!!!

I think BFAD had issues with Discount beating on his wheels also.

Might want to do a preemptive strike and hit all the bolts with some pb blaster a day or two before you go. That should help. I think $75-$100 is gonna be about the going rate. Silly for what will probably be about 30 minutes of work.

That rear bumper is awesome, where did you pick it up? Or did you fab it?
