New mod for the 3rd gen

Dude. Did you just seriously tell people about that? That's a national secret.

The people have a right to know man! Oh yeah, and there are no aliens...they're actually just mole people with really fancy kites that they like to fly at night

Viva la revolucion!

Thats the stupidest thing I've ever seen.. :lmao:

I got 309 miles out of my last tank - 265/75/16's, w/3" lift and ARB front end. I'll stick w/the fuel saving mods in my right foot :naughty:
That's crazy, you must really baby that thing.

keywords used by Einstein,
ebay,
mason jar,
ummmm.......... gadgets!!!
dude if you are looking for better gas mileage get a 2 wheel drive car.
If someone has legitimate ideals for better performance and mileage for our runners please post, otherwise keep this garbage off the site.

Sorry, if this is offensive to anybody, but that mason jar should not be in any engine compartment!!!!

Since I was the OP, I will tell you that this was not a serious inquiry. I knew it was bogus, but put it up as a joke. I would never put something like that anywhere near my 4runner. I just was hoping someone with some chemistry background could shed light on why any would think it would work. Plus I'm not too worried about gas mileage, especially since I'm driving a 95 with the 3.0.

Honestly man, I don't - I think I just bought a factory freak.
I just got it about a month ago from the original owner (80k)
I went ahead and did the timing belt and all that good stuff when I was doing the suspension/bumper/etc.. so, maybe that has something to do w/it? Who knows, could just be the cold weather.

Aside from Nelsonmd nailing it on the thermodynamic impossibility of an energy gain out of this system, I would worry that I had installed a glass enclosed fuel-air bomb in my engine bay. HHO as described by Nelson is seriously explosive (and obviously NOT water vapor). I still remember my high school chem professor combining H2 and O2 in a 2:1 ratio and using the mix to blow soap bubbles. He'd then let them float up into a gas ring (the stuff is lighter than air due to the H2) and KABOOM! Seriously, a soap bubble the size of the gas volume in that jar sounded like a 12ga. shotgun. And that glass jar has 12V+ just dying to spark to ground. Plus Einstein has a crack in his...and it's what?...18 inches from the fuel rail?

Somebody should be arrested for mailing this cockamamie thing across state lines.

I've actually done this mod and I get 55 mpg...but I fill my mason jar with unicorn urine (don't ask me how I get it).

I use my own urine in my 4runner . . . get 160mpg. My urine is a highly demanded good in Ethiopia. Sells for $1400/oz. Like gold basically. Would you like to buy some?

I'm sticking with the unicorn pee, it makes rainbows shoot out of my tailpipe (all homo)

Yeah, I loved that demo! My teacher made the soap bubbles, then held them in her hands, and ignited them. She even let us hold the bubbles while she lit them. It is safe as long as your hand is not cupped around the bubble.

Yeah, H2 tends to ignite and burn really fast, so even with no pressure, it will straight up blow that jar apart. Not sure what kind of damage it would do to the engine, probably not from the explosion (except maybe some embedded glass in hoses), but it will scare the sh*t out of him while he driving and probably cause an accident. Plus he will have dangling leads to short out his alternator.

I hope he loads that video to youtube.

The kit didn't even come with non-rusting cathode and anode! Seriously stupid!

Its all BS....All of it...They did a mythbusters on all of these things and it didn't do anything to improve gas mileage...

That sad part is people actually are stupid enough to pay for this crap.

i really want to punch the kid that made this video....i wunderd if he gradulated frum hy skool cuz like when you put the powder and water and it makes a car run high performance. plus icht neber seen snow.......durrr

I'm pretty sure he went for that idea because he felt the animosity from his jealous car. Poor 4runner always having to watch numb Nutz smoke his bong, it felt left out, kid was just trying to sooth it's sad lonely soul.

I personally prefer to stuff my air box full of small trimmings from the root of the Giggle Tree topped my filet of Mus**** Troll toe nail. It's been used in 4runners since the dark ages, duh!
