New muffler?

How can you tell if you need a new muffler or not?

When I bought my truck 4 years ago and it was on I could barely tell, it was so quiet. When driving on the highway about a year ago I accelerated really quickly and I heard a lot bang, my rear 02 sensor fell off. I bought a new one and replaced it but now when my truck is on it makes a very loud PUT-PUT-PUT-PUT noise.....is it the muffler or is there a leak somewhere in the exhaust system?

Nobody can tell you where an exhaust leak is. Look under your truck and investigate yourself. Find leaking part, and R&R. Comprende?

here is a very ghetto but effective way to do it, get a balloon and some cigarettes. somke some ciggs (dont inhale ) and blow into the balloon until its the size of a water melon, have some one with you and make about 2 or 3 of those ,hold the back of the of the balloon and put the balloon, over the tail pipe, let the smoke shoot in and have some one under the car watching for leaks, make sure to use three balloon together because one might not be enough.

Never heard of that....but Seafoam works well, and it cleans your motor out!

or seafoam it and check for leaks when you do it .

When using seafoam how long do you wait to get the oil change? Do you get the oil change the next day, also how far do you drive with the seafoam?

Also what is a good stock muffler? I don't want any upraded mufflers that are louder, I just want to replace the stock one.

We're talking about putting Seafoam in the brake booster hose and having it sucked into the motor. I'm not talking about putting it in the oil.
