New Nav DVD?

Does anybody know when the new Nav DVD is coming out? I was originally told October then November then December. Is this normal for a delay?

Yeah one came out just a few months ago I think. I found it on ebay, but omg is it expensive!
I'm going to get it sometime this year since my runner's technology will be 5 years old this year.

When buying on eBay, be careful!!

First, you have to get the correct DVD for your "generation" of the software. You cannot upgrade your system software through just a DVD. Be sure to shop by model year of your 4Runner.

Second, be sure you get an "Update Disc", as that will update the maps. A "Program Disc" is the disc that comes with it from the factory, and you don't want that if you're looking to update your system. Program Discs wind up on eBay when people try to get money for their old discs that are being replaced!

And yes, Toyota has sometimes had issues with releasing updates on a regular schedule. They were really bad at first, but I thought they seemed to be getting better lately.

Do you know if the update DVD usually comes out at a particular time of the year? It seems as if updates should be on a regular annual basis. My vehicle is a 2005, and I have the original DVD. Any of you guys with 2004 or 2003 gotten regular updates?

The annual update is supposed to come out in the Fall, around September or October.

The new 07 NAV update DVDs are in fact out. I ordered mine last week and received it from the dealership yesterday. They ARE expensive...about $250 at the dealership. They were released around Oct/Nov but many dealerships haven't entered them into their system yet so the parts people may not know about it. My dealership didn't know about it until the guy checked the actual paper sheets released in their book.

LP4runner--Is the 2007 the latest? I thought it would be listed as a 2008. I believe I need the one where the version starts with 4.( 4.3 is I think the right one). I have a 2005 4Runner. I've checked with the dealer but they say it isn't out yet. I'll go back and tell them to look it up manually.
