New Nitto's installed

I was in a "screw it" mood today, so after purchasing a brand new snowboard, I went over the the tire store and had them put on some 265/70/17 Nitto's. Haven't noticed any difference in the ride so far, but I haven't been on the freeway yet. Looks a lot better IMO.

Good choice, I'm looking at the same.
I just wish thay came in 275/70. I will be installing an OME susp in the next couple weeks and think the 285/70 is just a wee bit big in that they involve too much cutting.

Looks great, I'm sure you'll be happy with them.

2 things surprised me. First, is that the ones I have on are a B load rating. Second, is I think there was a minor rub when at max turn, and that's even with my 2/1 lift. Nothing major though.

Look at your sidewall letters. Is there a "P" or "LT" in front of your printed size?? If it's a "P", then you got the passenger rated tire (4-ply equivalent). If there is "LT", then you got the light truck load range E (10-ply equivalent).

I didn't look if it had any lettering before the size, but I know for a fact that it's B load rating, and 4-ply. Is that bad?

I got this Burton board and it was 30% off so instead of $450 it was about $339. Haven't figured out what bindings to put on it yet. I will probably get either all white or all black Burton, or possibly Ride bindings. It makes a good addition to my Lamar and K2 boards, which both have Burton bindings.

There was something very ironic about finding this board though. It was the one I saw while looking through ideas for a Burton sticker to put on the back of my truck. This was the board that inspired it.

Looks excellent man , good choice !! I wouldn't worry about the load rating . I Didn't they they made a "B" it's usually a P , LT , C , D or E . I'm probably wrong but never heard of a B , except in a bra size ( thats not overly impressive either )

Do you have any profile shots on level ground , I'd like to see the rake.

The tires should have an LT or a P in front of the size the load range should be at the end of the size.

example : LT265/70/17 E or P265/70/17

See if you have rub marks any where , they should not come anywhere close to rubbing with the lift.

Thanks Falls. You were one of the people who helped talk me into the Nitto's, so for that I thank you.

The sun was setting by the time they got them on, so tomorrow I'll get to see to full extent of how they look, but obviously pictures don't do it justice, as with lifts, HID kits, etc.

I think I should be fine with the B load rating since I don't tow anything, unless I ever need to pull someone out.

I guess the sticker goes along with thier skull themed boards (twin and doom). I have burton bindings on all my boards as well but thinking about selling my CO2's and pick up a new pair. take a look at rome 390's, union datas or the flux super titans as your possible new bindings.

There's always room for snowboard talk!

Falls- Here's a shot on flat ground as requested. Still with Dunflops though. I measured all 4 wheel wells, and they are perfectly even from left to right, I don't get a droop to one side like many people have. But there is about 1/2 inch of rake to it after the lift, where there was about 1-1.5 inches before. That was 2 weeks ago too, so the back might have settled a bit already, making it more level. If I remember, I'll measure tomorrow.

So,did we figure out what tires you actually have by the printed size? It won't really matter if you have P tires vs LT unless you really plan on venturing far off the beaten path.

I totally agree , unless your into some heavy crap , rocks ect... should not matter. I 've gone lots of place and through rocks ect... with my Revos "P" rated and they held up so I would think the Nitto's would do even better.

I took a little chunk out of my Revo tread , BUT I ran of a pc. of metal banding strap which IMO would have taken a chunk no matter what tire I had .

I would think it would give a harsh on road ride for a runner.

The picture in the alley is has no incline whatsoever. It's as flat as the street. The first ones in my girlfriends driveway is an incline though.

Yeah, or if you plan on towing very often, or are a hardcore offroader and need the 10-ply for a tougher sidewall. The ride will suffer with that rating though.
