New oil-lower temp?

I changed my oil yesterday to Pennzoil Ultra Synthetic and I swear my engine temp is now running lower than it used to be. I was running M1 Synthetic before. Both 5W-30. Is this possible or am I imagining it?

Not sure if this is possible, as you went from synthetic to synthetic, unless you had gone too long between changes and the old old was creating a bit of friction. I went from Mobile1 'synthetic' to Amsoil, which is one of the purest synthetics out there, and did not notice any temperature changes. I also change the oil 4 times a year.

Just under 5k in the change interval. Not too long for M1.
