Hello, so I’ve been interested in getting a 4runner for a while now. I ended up bidding on a 2000 4runner 4x4, 5-speed, 162,000 miles. I have yet to actually see it because I’m currently overseas. I’m in the process of having it shipped to Tennessee.

I’ve actually never spend so much money on something without first inspecting it. I took a chance because the seller had actually good feedback and provided a lot of details about the vehicle. Plus I wanted a 5-speed 4runner.

I know the vehicle has a lot of miles and had previous three owners. Based on this information I’m not going to trust anyone’s word and change the oil, spark plugs, timing belt, water pump, and air filter. These items are the only thing I’m aware of that should be changed. If I’m missing anything please let me know. I usually like to do the work myself, however because I’m not there to conduct the work I’m going to have my wife take it to the local dealership and have everything done professionally.

My first thought was to get a lift kit. But because the seats are kinds of messed up I decided to get myself some Wet Okole seat covers for my front and back seats. Also will be getting WeatherTech for the whole vehicle. After spending that much money I’m going to need permission from the wife to buy the lift.

About me I’m 25 years old. Currently a Soldier, living in Tennessee, proud island boy from Hawaii. Married! No kids, two dogs, Deployed! My other car my wife stole from me is my 2006 A4 Audi because she wants to drive it all the time I was left with her junk so I decided I wanted a SUV!
I won’t be home until MAY! I got a couple months before I can even drive her! So sad.
