About to buy a 2004 4runner from a dealer and wanted to know if I qualify for the extended warranty I saw while browsing the site. The vehicle has 49k miles and I'm in Alabama.

Probably not -- the warranty expires at 36,000 miles. But ask -- worst they can do is say no. But if they say yes, watch for the price. Do a search and see what other members are paying.

Bumper to bumper warranty is up at 36k, but you have powertrain coverage until 60k, or 5 yrs I believe. If it is a Toyota dealer, you can have it certified for a 100K, 7yr warranty.
