To All,

Hi, Folks and friends alike Call me Mojo. I am the not so proud owner of some one else's problem, as would seem. I recently acquired a '93 sr5. it has roughly 250,000 miles on it, and has as of yet only been on 1 gravel road. I know the last owner, aka my sis. I was informed that the little beastie had some issues. issues can be sorted out. As of last weekend this new to me rig has become a rather large paper weight.

After much research and contacting my local yota guru. it seems that the flex plate has headed as far south as it could possibly go. now it is all bound up and will no longer turn over.

If I can pull a 20 yr old motorcycle outta the scrap heap and get it going. I am sure this little rig will see the road again.

Still new to this forum. I have to hand it to you folks. There is just about an absolute guaranty that an answer can/will be found here for what problem your rig is presenting to you.

So far, the last time the truck ran ( 2 weeks ago ) it was running ok. Temp and oil pressure good. Going up hill at 55-60 mph. It began to make a loud clicking noise, as well as shake fairly hard, in time with the tick. Rpm stayed constand and the wheel speed decreased. Temp and oil pressure still good. Put in neutral to see if the shake would go away, engine promptly stalls out. Start it back up to move to the side of the road, it shook and sounded like some one beating on a metal shed. Pulled off the road and it promptly stalled out again.

The next day after getting towed home. It started ok shook a little for about a minute. Then repeat of the day before.

Two days later. I attempt to turn motor over. Got three good turns and then nothing. Bound up.

It is a 93, 3.0 v6 auto 4x4, with front A.D.D., 250,000 ish mile on odo, stock as stock can be. Regulating service up to now.

Every thing I have read, and vids watched leads me to think the flex plate took a big dump.

Wednesday morning, going to pull the inspection plate to see.
