New Owner, stereo replacement to XM

Hello folks,

Taking delivery on a 2008 Limited V6 Saturday. I am an XM subscriber and would like a stereo with XM, but would also like a unit compatible with the steering wheel controls etc. I tried browsing the postings, but came up a bit confused. Truck has the Nav system, I assume that's Sirius

Any option to get this with XM? Thoughts? I like XM because of the Major League Baseball, not on Sirius.

XM or Sirius?

The Nav unit you displayed looks like the Eclipse brand. The Eclipse units have the software to run XM or Sirius. All that matters is the little box that is installed from the stealer running $600 or so. You can buy that Sat Rad receiver box online, Best Buy, anywhere. The stealer in Portland had XM banners hanging all over the dealership and when it came time for me to sign on the dotted line, they said they could only put in Sirius and there's no way for XM. They are of course, full of it. I was a XM subscriber, and reluctantly made the switch. Today, both are owned by the same company now. My 4runner has Sirius, my buddy's has XM. Most of the big channels are ported over, there's little differences of course, like the sports channels. So yeah. Nav units that are Sat Rad compatible only depend on what receiver box you put in, or have stealer install for $$$. That's what I gathered from my experiences...

That's great news. I would like to find out more definite information.
