New Owner - Trim - help needed

Hi, U guys. I just got one of the 4Runners...
The car was seating a lot, 2006 with 17K on it....
The question is how do I take off the rear hatch/door silver trim / toyota logo etc. As I was washing it, i saw very small rust area starting where the trim meets body of the car. Take a look at the pix.
How do I take it off.. thanks a lot, this forum and your guys help me get what I always wanted, a 4Runner. Thanks a lot.

I think you need to remove the backdoor trim board, its being held by clips.
Just look at this .pdf attached.

yep, ya gotta pull the inside panel, inside cover, i forgot exactly but i think its got 7 bolts. its a pita for such a small piece.

Thanks, Did you take care of it, on yours... did you just cleaned it and put some touch up paint on it ?

BORGZMAN.... Thanks a lot, the PDF is perfect.. now I know what to do... Do you think, just cleaning the rust, and put some touch up paint... can take care of this..., I dont want to repaint that area... Any suggestions...
