So I recently purchased a 91 4x4 just to get me around while I finish my engine swap in my maxima. Only problem now is that I love this damn thing and it is gonna turn into my new money pit. Anyway has anyone done any engine swaps to give it a little better power because this stock 3 liter needs to go. Any ideas would be great. thanks

If you want a Toyota power plant there's the 22RE 4 cyl, 3RZ 4 cyl, 5VZ 6 cyl, 5MGE, 7MGE.

Then there's the GM 3.8, 4.3, and 350.

A few Ford engines too.

I wouldnt mind the gm 4.3 for power but Id have a hard time putting a chevy motor in a toyota. In your opinion what would be the easiest to do with the best gains?
