New Owner!

Hey everyone, I posted this weekend that I was going to go look at an 07 4Runner that I saw on ebay and I got mixed feedback on them. Well, I went over and looked and it was REALLY rough I thought and immediately turned around and came home, what a waste of 4 hours!!!

Well, the good news is, there was one in KC that I didn't think I could afford, but figured I'd take a look. It's an 08 limited with 18K miles on it, certified. It was a local trade from an old lady who just had her 3rd grandchild, so she upgraded to a Sequoia for the 3rd row.

Anyway, here it is, first thing I plan on doing is removing the running boards and the mud flaps, next up will be a navigation/satellite radio/ipod radio, then a leveling kit, then we'll see where I'll go from there. Here is a crappy EVO cell phone pic, I'll try to get more later.

Sometimes it is worth to pay the extra money, I mean you are going to have to live with thing for awhile, right? Oh, I like your choice of color too.:nicethread:

That's exactly what I thought as well. The lower miles, the nicer care, the newer car and just a better overall FEEL for this car is worth the money if you ask me. I love it, now it's time to make it MINE!

Took the "new" 4Runner for a drive today, 4 hours round trip to visit my CPA, interstate driving. Absolutely love this thing, what a great riding vehicle. I miss the power of the R and I miss being able to take an all day trip without seeing another R at all, BUT, this thing drives and rides better. The seats aren't near as comfy, but that car had the best seats I'd ever sat in.

Anyway, I got around to pulling the running boards and the mudflaps off today, made a HUGE difference, looks awesome, plus the boards are selling for $350 on ebay! The stereo is awesome in it, but I'd like to upgrade to Satellite/Navigation, if anyone has any suggestions, I'm open! The only other thing I need for now is a leveling kit, which I'm researching everything now on that.

It's insane how well this thing was taken care of. I noticed today that the lady hadn't even taken off the plastic wrap on the stereo, climate control, the JBL emblems on the speakers and the lever to adjust the wheel tilt! It's seriously brand new, even smells like it!!

Also plan on meeting a couple of local KC area 4Runner guys on Thursday, so I'm off and running.

Worst part of the day though, I had to go back to the Toyota dealership to deliver them my stock springs from my Volvo and I see some wash/delivery boys jacking around in my old car and all the sales guys standing out gawking over it. As I was waiting for my sales guy, I see that they are all taking turns driving it and going up and down the outer road in it enjoying the 300 hp in the cold weather!! I know it's not mine anymore, but I felt sorry for it, the thing has never as much spent a night outside of a heated/air conditioned garage and I just hated for them to be goofing off in it. But, oh well, I love my "new" 4Runner!! :bluejump:

Sorry, I had a 2007 Volvo S60 R, Sonic Blue, one of 37 imported that year, in that color. I loved it, absolutely loved it.

Yup, especially lowered! Similar to a S4 and about as reliable.

Can you post up another pic the same as your first one now that the running boards are off?

I would like to see a before & after comparison. I'm thinking of possibly removing them as well so curious what it looks like.
