ok so i recently bought a 90 4runner with the 3.0 v6.. my delima is i wanna do some mods on it but im not sure were to start. im gonna use it for wheeling but i dont live near many trails so it will mostly b for just driving around town but i wanna be able to hold my own when i do go wheeling. just wanted to get some opinions on were i should start... by the way it sits bone stock as it is right now and its gonna be a slow build..(gonna b working on a budget) thanks

I just bought my 94 3VZE sunday, so I can't say much for mods at this point. I'm also lucky enough to have found a bone stock one in total pristine condition so I hope to keep it that way as much as feasible. That being said, I still will have a little fun occasionally and i know one of the great things about these trucks is their inherent capabilities even in stock form. You should be able to hold your own in the mean time while you build up funds for mods

I'd start out by throwing away the stock air filter and putting a K&N High Flow filter in. You may feel an instant increase in power and a few extra Km's per tank.

mcbain already planning on a cold air intake would there b any difference in the k&N and this one in the first pic off ebay

and cztheman64 any recomendations on tires looking for a mud terrain that aint to loud on the road. and do you know anything about addicted offroads bumpers and sliders r they good products or no.

im riding on 33 BFG KM2s and they are awesome. a lot of people running mud terrains have the KM2s
and as far as addicted offroad stuff. a bumper is a bumper as far as im concerned. i dont know anyone around me that has addicted offroad stuff mainly because they are pretty far from here.. it all depends on what style you like best. definitely go for the weld on bumpers and sliders rather than bolt on.

K thanks yea I like the addicted offroad style its just gonna cost me like 100 to ship it to were I live. And I don't like that to much but guess ain't much I can do. Can't find nowere around here that makes them

I just got my 91 a couple weeks ago too. I'm new to 4runners but not to wheeling, so my advice is to wheel it stock first. Find the type of trails that you like, try them stock, and then you'll see exactly where you need to make improvements.
I'm building mine slowly on a budget too, so here's to cheap mods!
