Not sure. I ordered the 9" and although the display is excellent, I still have the same old wired connection issues as my old Pioneer unit.
New Pioneer floating head unit - anyone tried this?

found this one reddit and there is an install video of it as well. Looks like a 10.1" works fine in the space.

I think these look absolutely terrible. Not a fan of afterthought looking mods and this just screams 'Hey slap a tablet on me and block vent flow, etc'. No thanks.

To each their own, mine doesn't block my vents at all, I made sure of it
Is it sitting in the lower portion of the DD opening? I used the OEM metal brackets but that puts the headunit at the top of the opening.

Yes, I used the OEM brackets and mounted to the lower din
Hmmmm. I may try lowering mine down next time I'm in there but I didn't see how you could unless I missed something.
In the end I want to ditch my Pioneer unit for something else but they all use a larger screen and I don't want to block the vents.

I have the Halo, but it should be the same. To mount to the bottom I had to grind down some nubs to get the radio to sit in there flush
