New plugs.....Bosch platinums

Well I just changed the plugs in the runner.....to my surprise they were fairly new Bosch platinums. It didn't run all that great so I put new NGK's with new oem wires. Runs way better now. Always thought there couldnt be that much of a difference between brands, boy was I wrong.

Anyway.....one of the old plugs had oil on it. Not sure if this is an issue to worry about or not? I took pics but I'm at work and can't load them until later.

Haha, me too...then I read the post.

Glad to hear the review...it's amazing what a difference the correct sparkplug can make.

The oil may be a result of a leaking spark plug tube gasket in the VC gone bad.

were these the Bosch 4- points? I installed 6 and have over 10,000km on them and no issues, noticed an instant difference with them, ( you would with any new plugs)
your improved performance would also be due to new plug wires as well.
Your experience may be linked to your plug wires, I have had no issues with these

I should also ignore the years of R&D and improvements in metallurgy since the 3rd gen was designed
