New Purchase (update)

So i recently purchased a 1987 4runner sr5 5sp with 150k miles. My first priority is getting it street legal here in VA which isn't easy. it needs brakes, horn,high beams,tires,headers i think that's it for now. The body is in good condition to be an 87. I bought the vehicle for 1000$ so my question is do you guys think its worth the money to fix it or sell and buy another?

Thanks for the support guys. I thought i would update you on how things are going. After new brakes all the way around, full exhaust, manifold gasket, light switch, horn, plugs, fuel filter and pump, and i little spray paint im finally hitting the trails. Sure it needs a few thing but the miles are super low. I bought mine with 270,000. One of the best 1,000 bucks I ever spent. Va is really steap for older truck. Capital of the confederacy you know.
There is a guy not to far from richmond that sells 4 runner parts. I got a new set of tires and stock rimes off of a 96 for about 250 delivered. He's Got lots of good stuff. I'm hoping to pick us a new sun roof soon. I'll get you the number if your interested.

Sure thing Guys. His Name is Red. Not quite sure what all he's got but I'm sure he can help you out. My wheels were from a 96 so it's worth a shot. The number is 757-675-3699. The wheels he sold me were delivered but he's some where between richmond and hampton. Hope you find what your looking for.
