New Rav4

When I first saw the current 5th Gen I HATED them. But the styling grew on me. Now I like it and I own one. I see similar styling on this new RAV4 and I like it.

But it is clearly designed for dirt roads and curb size obstacles at best with limited aftermarket support or options.

I'm sure they will sell a bunch.

Because politicians passed a law requiring all cars to have a rear view camera as standard.

this is a bit different I think....you still have your rear backup view on the infotainment screen, but you no longer have a glass rear view mirror but rather a "Rear view mirror that is actually a permanent monitor"

I'm not sure if it is an option or if it is standard.

A small detail, but I wish manufacturers would start integrating dash cameras. I feel like they could easily integrate one with all the cameras they are putting on cars these days. Besides that little detail, I think this looks great in certain trims.

Looks like a great family car for weekend (non-offroad) trips. The Hybrid AWD Limited should be pretty attractive for the price, features and amenities.

Truecar.com has the 2018 Hybrid AWD Limited with all bells and whistles at $34.6K plus tax.

Well Subaru just killed off the Forester XT... but base engine now makes another 2 lb/ft! Guess this is becoming the norm for the segment: If you want to get from 0 - 60 in less than 15 seconds you need to buy a luxury model.

I hope this philosophy does not portend whats to come for the new 4R.

Or at the very least, put a usb port above the rear view mirror.
