So I nearly ran the 4R dry this weekend. Set a record filling it at $72.00. Aside form filling the boat that is like a mortgage payment this is the most Ive ever paid to fill a tank of gas. Not Cool! paying 3.54 here in Maine

Paid $4.29 last night for diesel, i remember it was over $4 a gallon for gas like 3 years ago, i think it hit $5.50 then for diesel.

I hear you on that. I'm from Maine too and I just drove by a station that was $3.54 yesterday, now today it's $3.69 :smashputer: I hope the "winter blend" is almost gone soon. Then I may be able to get 350 miles to a tank.

Back in 05 I had a Superduty 7.3 powerstroke for my work truck and was paying $130+ to fill that. So I try to tell myself it's not to bad. :bash:
 
$3.61 here in western massachusetts. We both use ours as daily-drivers, but we dont go far. $20 in gas a week for the most part.

Its only going to get worse, you guys. While Libya and those other nations keep Up their bullcrap, we'll be paying for it outta our wallets.
 
Yeah, not cheap is it? Keep in mind we're two months away from Memorial Day and there is still a lot of uncertainty about what is going on in Libya and other Middle Eastern Countries. You think it's expensive now, stand by.....
 
Only 2% of Libyan oil output comes to US and rest of it goes to europe. So Libya is not to be blamed for this. Blames goes to those wall street speculators so who jack up the barrel price in NYSE if they hear some sheikh in Saudi Arabia or Qatar farts!!

Well said!!! Its a shame this sector isn't HEAVILY regulated!!! If it is, it's not enough............ prices based on "fears"........ whatta crock!!!!!
 
premium runs me ~75 a tank in NJ, over 85 to fill my cruiser and the pump cuts off to prevent fraud, good thin the S5 only has a 16ish gallon tank

We are, however, I used to pay for $5.50 (approx for DIESEL, gas was higher) when I lived in Peru with my SURFs. Also, I'm coming off of a 97 Grand Cherokee which consistently got me 13.8mpg..... my 4R is getting about 21mpg (winter blend)...I'm happy.

40-60% of the speculators are foregn investors ie the middle east suppliers. Its a big scam and while the feds were looking into it the Obama elecation distracted everyoen unfortunately...on two accounts now that I think of it...man im depressed.
 
$3.61 - $3.80 . . . you guys have it cheap. Just filled my Expedition up this morning here in the San Francisco Bay Area where the sun is out and the gas companies are gouging us with the "California Blend"

$4.09/Gal into a 25 Gallon Tank = $100.00 (should have been $102.25 but the pump shut off at an even $100.

Where is my new used V6 4runner???
 
dang. i dont feel so bad anymore. its only 3.29 here. and if you use your frys vip and get 10c off, its only 3.19. about 60 to fill up on dead empty.

Used to get around that price last week in Houston TX, prices have now shot up to around $3.55 everywhere now though...
 
Man, what eastcoastrunner said. I paid $1.20/litre today ($4.6/gallon) and it wasn't a bad day. Usualy over 100$ a tank if I really fill her.
You guys get something like 30% of your oil from Canada, top foreign provider (your welcome :D). I work for Suncor energy which is argueably the largest producer in the Oilsands. Although if you guys keep up with this dirty oil BS looks like we'll just ship it to China.
Your choice is gas that life cycle wise produces 5-12% more GHG's or buy it from the middle east, where is has to be shipped across the ocean (and inevitably some ends up in it) and alot of the money that goes to countries you end up spending billions upon billions waring with...just saying :boxer:.
