New Rhino Rack Rail Mount System

Thanks Dark Lord for the pics and write up on the track system. After too much deliberation, this is the rack system for me. Seems every platform rack out there adds way too much height without even getting equipment or a rtt on top - and like you mentioned, whats the point of a fancy roof rack if all you can put up there is a RTT.

Past by a black 5th gen today with the new backbone pioneer platform. It looked pretty nice, but it was a brief observation. Anyone else sporting the new rack system and want to share/post some photos?

I really wanted a flat rack, but after comparing the Rhino and the K9 racks, I chose the K9. It has more slats, which means more potential tie down points. It also has more feet/connection points with the rails. Even the cost was pretty comparable once you factor in shipping. However, I am pretty curious if some of the Rhino accessories would fit the K9 rack.

I have the RLT600 track mount. So far no complaints. It's lightweight, looks good, easy to use, and gets the job done. I don't see the point of a traditional roof rack if all I'm mounting is an RTT and an awning.

I have three cross bars, but currently only hardware for two. I'll mount the third once I get the hardware for it.

This is the setup I'm going to get, tracks with vortex bars, platforms are nice but bars would be better for me for recreational attachments such as kayak/bike racks etc and I could add extra bars if I get a rtt

my current setup of Thule AeroBlade edge on factory rails seams to flex a lot even with kayaks on so I don't fully trust it tbh

I've been running this setup with only two bars with an RTT, and it's held up great. I have three bars for the RTT, but don't have the hardware to mount the third bar, so I've just been running the two, and it's been just fine thus far.
