New rims and tires

I scraped up one of my factory wheels pretty bad out on the trail and was thinking that since it is almost time for new tires, I could get new rims as well. My question is will the 17" Sequoia rims with 285's fit with a 3" lift (Enough backspace to not run a spacer)? And if not will the 80 series Cruiser rim fit?

The answer to your question is yes, both the sequoia wheel and lc wheel will fit. With a 3" lift however the sequoia wheels may look a little "tucked in" from a front and rear view. Since the lc wheels are 8" wide, they will sit more flush with the fenders as far as width. Often people who use sequoia wheels will get some wheel spacers to widen the stance a bit, especially when lifted, but they will still fit functionally with no problems without spacers.

if you have anything more than 2" lift up front you will need spacers for the sequoia/tundra rims... at 3" of lift with 1.25" spacers and sequoia rims the stance is only .25" wider than stock

FWIW I'm running 285s on Tundra/Sequoia 17s with a 3" lift. I've got Light Racing upper control arms, so it clears. Minimal scrubbing at full lock. I had spider trax spacers but I didn't like how it looked, plus they caused the tires to rub much worse near the pinch welds (even with the welds hammered down).
