New Rims and Tires

Finally got my new rims and Tires put on. I got Bridgestone Dueler A/T Revos (265/70/17) with American Racing Mojave Rims (17"x8"). The truck looks more rugged now. Here are the pics.

Hey man, truck look tight! ... Do you have a lift kit on her? if so what kind? and what nerf bars are those? that seems like the ticket compared to the toyota stock ones...
 
Wow. I like that look a lot. The color is subtle, but the look is badass!

BTW - Did you have your nerf bars painted to match your cladding or did they come like that?
 
OOOhhhhh yeeaahh, that's nice! And I second the Wow! Not a big fan of the grey cladding, but it totally suits your ride's style. Do you not have 4WD? That runner looks like it's about to smash right through your house attempting to find some dirt to play in.

Thanks for the comments....yeah, i have a lift. I got the 2.5" Daystar Kit. The running boards I got from toyotaparts4u.com, i liked them over the stock ones, and plus they matched the cladding well.

Nice setup.

The nerf bars are available from Toyota directly. I ordered mine from the dealer before taking delivery of the vehicle. The grey does match the grey cladding well.

The grey cladding rocks! I think it makes the vehicle look more like a truck instead of a glossy, shiny mall crawler.

As an added plus, I have 0 door dings because of the cladding.

Nice center caps. I have the same ones. They are stainless steel and are tough.

I had a TRD logo made for the middle. Would look killer on yours.

I really like that logo, where did you have it made?
 
Get rid of those center caps! They don't match the black rims at all. It's the only chrome (stainless steel) on your black ride.

When I look at your wheels the only thing I see are those caps.


BTW, wheels look aggressive, but the tires look tame.

I also have black center caps that came with the rims, I put the steel ones on to just make it stand out a little more than all black, but I will try the black ones and see how it looks.
 
How much were the rims themselves and where did you buy them from? Pics with the black center caps instead of the silver ones?

i agree. you probably could have gone one size up or bigger. still looks cool tho.

edit: just re-read your post, checked tirerack and saw that revos don't come in a bigger size for 17s. what other tires did you consider?

i 2nd everything timber said.

take the center caps off, and next time get beefier tires if you want it to look as rugged as the black classic-style wheels would suggest.

Next chance i get i will try swapping the center caps out with the black ones and as far as beefier tires, with those rims I cant fit anymore tire in there, it barely clears now in the front when i turn the wheels to max, so any bigger would create rubbing problems.
 
understood. i am running some 275 MTRs, and even with my 4" of lift, they required some trimming. if you ever decide you want another inch or two of lift, just let me know.

in the meantime, i do think your setup looks great!!! :)
 
Hey Brian, not sure if you mentioned this earlier in the thread, but where did you get the rims and tires from? I did a search and found them but would like to know where you got yours from. If you could, please post a link to them, would be greatly apperciated. Thanks.

I will definitely let you know about the lift, I presently have the 2.5" daystar but at some point I may want a little more and go with the NE kit, I will definitely let you know. Thanks
