New Rims + Tires!

Long time reader, first time poster;
Finally got a new set of rims and tires ( the OEM's have been relegated to snow-tire duty )

Here's the before and after, let me know what you think.

17" MKW rims and 265/70R17 Mickey Thompson ATZ tires.
Slight scrub on front mud guards at full turn lock, but very minor.
( no lift )
 
I have considered those tires instead of BFG All-Terrains. How do you like them so far? Do you have any experience with the BFG's as well? Oh, and kick-ass! Just need the lift now...

Yeah, I'd love to get a lift; only two things holding me back.
1/ The truck's got X-REAS suspension and I'm not too sure what's involved if I opted for a lift. ( I'm imagining the tear-down of a lot of hydraulic suspension components)
2/I paid extra money for the X-REAS when I bought it, and I love the vehicle dynamics; I'm afraid I'd take a massive hit to handling if I did this, mainly for looks. ( hey I'll admit, I'm primarilly a"soft roader" mostly light off road duty for access to camping spots / putting the kayak in at off road locations )

The tires are great, really good bite on dirt roads / uneven ground.
A little louder than the Micheline Cross Terrains on the highway, but nothing I wasn't expecting.

( BTW the rack is a Thule; works very well and holds the kayak snug, even at 75 mph / 120 kmh on the highway!)

Looks alright. I think you could have selected better rims.

Get a small leveling lift. You'll drastically improve the looks without any noticeable change in ride or handling. I have a 1" front lift on mine and I honestly noticed no change at all in the ride or handling. I have a Sport Edition, so yes, I have XREAS also.
 
Thanks for advice; do I take that to mean that your X-REAS is still hooked up / functional?
If so, that's great news, what brand of lift did you install, if you don't mind me asking?

Hayn4R; no worries, that's why there are different rims out there; pretty boring if we all liked the same thing.
 
Wheels are Mid offset; +10 mm I believe.
I had one hell of a time finding rims that I liked that were not negative offset (ie **** Cepek DC-1 [ black ] )
