New rims won't fit!

Hi and TIA
I would like to say first off that I am fairly mechanically inclined, but have near to no experience with tires and rims. I have a 96 4r that came with stock steel rims. Recently I picked up some alloy's off a 95 4r. As I understand, the alloys require a 12X1.5 mag seat lug. But the lugs i picked up from autovalue were longer then the mag, and couldnt be tightened far enough to hold the wheel on! Am I missing something or...

I've found that the aftermarket alloy lugs are deeper than the factory ones. Try at all costs to get factory lugs, or you may be able to find a set of washers and double up the ones that are already on there(wouldn't recommend that except in emergency situations thought)

you are going to have to find some factory lug nuts. The factory lug nuts have a threaded shank that fit through the lug hole on the wheel. Regular aftermarket lug nuts are not going to work.
