New Runner with 800 miles... tranny lag/hesitation??

Hey guys I just bought a new 4runner and have a question or two for you guys out there.

With any of my vehicles that I have owned I have been quite in tune with how the vehicle drives especially if it is new, I do not want any "issues" with ANY part of the vehicle since it is bran new.

I have around 800 miles on my Sport v8 4x4 and it seems sometimes that it can have a slight hesitation/lag jump to it when coasting around 5-10mph and then accelerating from that speed. It almost seems like the tranny is trying to "catch" itself but there is no slip to it. Aren't we supposed to have that buttery smooth acceleration with our runners?

I dont know maybe I am being over critical but a friend who just bought his new Tundra said he had the same issue. Is this common with new Toyota trucks?

The short story is that post I pointed you to covers it... T4R's thump a bit. Some seem to do it more than others. A freshly greased driveshaft helps tremendously but it never totally disappears. I don't remember if it was in that post or another on the same subject but one member had great success using a specially formulated GM driveshaft grease. His results were the closest to a 'fix' that I have seen.
