i just bought a '99 4runner SR5 4wd 3.4:pimp: off a guy from my apartment complex. he's like going back to canada so he hesitantly agreed to sell with a ton of uninstalled parts. i gave him $1700 for the 4runner because it has frame damage or something like that and it has 300,869 km's(so like 187k miles i think). and these are the parts i got from him. paid extra $6600 for the parts.

-winch bumper (arb)
-tacoma snorkel (safari snorkel)
-sliders with kickout (savage offroad)
-winch (smittybilt X2O synthetic 10k)
-rear bumper with tire swing-out (irbis)
-lockers (arb)(i thingk 1 front+1 rear)
-baja rack "the long one"
-twin compressor (arb)
-bunch of lights i think hella,
-cheap cb with firestick,
-universal breather (arb)
-supercharger and parts (trd)
-catback exhaust (trd)
-rooftop tent (tepui)
-miscellaneous (belts, filters, bushing kit, UCAs, LCAs, boots, etc.)
-------------Already Installed ---------------
-4 x BFG T/A tires (+1 for tire carrier) so 5 total.
-Toytec lift kit

total for everything= $8,300.00

my questions are, is the winch i got any good? Did i just get a good deal?(never owned a suv/truck much less this type with this much customization parts) and what else should i add?:baby:

it seems like this guy knew what he was doing. he had customized new/older 4x4s out the A**.

i got it on Saturday and yesterday i had my friend who does appraising for farmers insurance look at it, and after about 45 minutes he said you bought a perfect car and couldn't locate any problems. (frame damage):bravo: other then that it has 2 dents, leaky sunroof, and a raggedy steering wheel.

If that supercharger is new, it's worth $2,800 by itself. Used, more like $2000. I'd say you did pretty good but now you have to install it all, or try and sell the pieces you don't want.

i know. worst thing is i have no knowledge of anything other than boxer subaru engines, so it'll be a learning experience. the guy said he got the charger and exhaust of a part out but he didnt say the price.
 
Headers? That's a ton of work for very little gain. I'd do those last, unless you meant they are already on the vehicle? If that's the case you got very, very lucky!

has performance headers. i think he was about to install the charger so he put them in. i forgot to ask what brand but i think he mentioned obx at some point and i know thats a brand that makes headers so it might be them.

The more you talk about this 4Runner, the more of a steal it's turning out to be.
 
do you guys have any other mods you can suggest? i'm trying to get a little list compiled. i got breathers and dual battery kit. don't think i need a deck-plate mod since i have the snorkel.

plus on top of being a good deal. the guy has like a bunch of cars and he told me a couple weeks ago he might let some go. i was ready to get a 01 LC for $10k but i asked him and he came through.
