Hello everyone, I brought my new 16' 4Runner Limited home on Friday night. I'm coming from a 13' FJC that had served me well for 200,000 miles of rough oilfield service and lots of wheeling. The transmission was starting to slip and just about every bushing on the suspension was worn out.
So, instead of dumping lots of money into the FJ, I decided it was time to get into something a little larger, and a lot more comfortable:
I decided to go for a 4x4 Limited in Blizzard Pearl with the Redwood interior. I couldn't stand the look of the factory 20" wheels and running boards, so I had the boards removed and TRD PRO wheels in gunmetal installed.
Now I think it looks respectable! Upgrades currently being ordered are:
Metal Tech stage 5 rear long travel kit with RadFlo shocks w/rez
Total Chaos panhard bar
The above has been sitting the garage since May, it was going on the FJ.
Total Chaos upper and lower control arms
Dual shock hoop
RadFlo extended travel 2.5 coil overs with rez
RadFlo 2.5 non coil over shock (2nd front shock)
diff drop kit
Pelfrybilt Aluminum winch bumper w/ lights.
