New Seat Covers

Hey guys, I have leather seats in my '97 4runner limited and the back seats leather is in tremendous condition but the front drivers seat is ripped a little right by the door where I get in and out constantly. I would like to buy some seat covers for both front seats. What do you guys recommend and have any of you taken this path?

I like the Wet Okoles for a couple of reasons.

1. They fit really nicely and look like you've replaced your seats. At least, that's what people that don't know anything about seat covers thought when I got mine.
2. You never take them off. Instead, you clean them right on the seat since they're waterproof. You can also protect them by putting on the special spray they sell.
3. The extra padding really makes a big difference on comfortability.
4. They feel much nicer/softer than the OEM ones after I had mine shampoo'd at the detail shop.
5. They're not OEM.

where would you buy these cause in interested to

You can buy them direct from Wet Okole, who I believe is a paid sponsor of this forum. I went to Performance Products as they are local and ordered from them. Beware, the ordering process is pretty confusing, at least for me; therfore, I went w/ PP.

Let me add that make sure they know you have a back pocket on the seat that you may want to use. Also, if you have lumbar support, you have the sport-type seats according to Wet Okole. Also, if you're in Socal, Wet Okole is in Costa Mesa. They will install the covers for free. They're not the easiest things to get on but once they're on, they're on for good.

I was looking into them and they run about 250 a piece but they look sharp! I have tan interior and I could fine the seat covers that have black on the side of them and tan on the outside but I'd prefer an all tan but didn't see it.

You can get an all tan or tan w/ different color piping. It's best to call since their website leaves a lot to be desired.

Now, Wet Okole has not just that look of a solid color in the middle and black on the outsides but has choices of piping. I have a red 4runner w/ the yuck tan cloth interior. I chose black seats w/ red piping. I also have black rubber tech floor mats custom cut to the truck. With the other black accents in the truck and the red/black exterior, I really like how it's come out.

I got them from a buddy at Performance Products. My cost was less than $360 for all but that was my cost. I think a complete set from PP or wetokole.com is about $500.
