New Shoes!!!

After hydroplaning every time it rains with those Dunlop AT20's, I decided to get new tires. After doing my research, I liked the REVO's at 265/70/17. I like the 1/2" lift, and the aggressive tread. The ride seems much smoother, and so far, the traction has been awesome. They also fill up the wheel wells a bit more than those Dunlops. I got a decent deal on them at Bridgestone. I paid $880 for 5 of them mounted and balanced, with a tire replacement plan. I've also got $75 coming back to me with the rebate. Not bad. I went to Costco, but as of Jan 1st, they don't carry Bridgestone anymore!

Enjoy the pics!

so with the revos, you get approx 1/2'' lift?

The tire's 265/70/17 are about an inch taller than the stock 265/65/17,divide that by 2 and you have your half inch of lift......

BTW you truck look's nice with the upsize Revo's. I have them on mine and they are a real nice riding & handling tire for on road and light duty off road. It's surprising on how that inch bigger tire's fill's up the wheel wells and look's so much better.

Nice choice , is you driving mostly on road ??

I do most of driving on the road. However, I'm heading up to the outer banks of NC next month, and am looking forward to getting my runner on the beach!

Upgrading to 265/70 tires definitely makes a night and day difference looks-wise. Whenever I see a 4Runner with 265/65 it just looks too wimpy to me.

sweet lookn rig my man
hate to bother you with this question
ant noticable fuel difference? mpg ?
really lookininto new tires this summer and i was thinking about these
schwalmy

It seems that my mpg has dropped about .5 mpg, but I think that has more to do with the calibration of the instruements to the old tire size than an actual drop in mpg.

You'll have a lot of fun at the OBX (outerbanks). I live about an hour west of nags head...we spend alot of time down in Hatteras. If you get a chance, you should go down to Ocracoke too.

Thought you might like a map of the beach access points... so click on
Outerbanks Beach Access Points . Hope this helps...and have a great time going through the dunes...they're alot of fun.

Awesome! Thanks Man! I can't wait to get my runner on the beach. I plan to go to the beaches of Ocracoke. I'm also going to take it to organ inlet. I've been going to Rodanthe for 29 years now, and have always seen 4x4's on the beach under the bridge, and always wanted to go. Now I'll get to!
