I just picked up my Sirius radio pack for my 08 limited with OEM jbl nav. You got to be kidding me with the size of the Antenna. Its a LARGE triangle, and from my understanding the dealer installs these on the front windshield behind the mirror?? I didnt get it installed yet, so did they include the wrong one or is this the one included in the Fit kit??

**EDIT** I Just googled it and yup thats the one. This thing looks like a slice of pizza its so big, damn.

I have the same kit. Don't waste your time installing that antenna. It won't work driving North.

I installed the antenna in my gen2 the same way Chris did, only I continued under the top molding and down the A-pillar to the receiver in the dash. The antenna wire was just barely long enough with only about 2 or 3 inches to spare. With that mounting you don't have to worry about the vehicle body blocking the signal depending on which direction you're headed.

I am not installing it, the dealer is. I dont think I can tell them where I want the antenna, and I dont know if I trust them to run that all the way to the back. That antenna I recieved is no good, and being on the front windshield I wont get a signal heading North?? I never heard of this before. Now what I have to purchase a new antenna???

The antenna may be "good". It's huge and I didn't want it on the outside of my car. The satellites are in the southern sky. With the install completed as the instructions suggested (antenna on windshield) I was not able to get good reception. Whenever I drove in a northerly direction I had 'zero' reception.

I just went on EBay and seached for antennas.

Just wanted to thank you guys for the info on the antennas. I went to best buy and picked up the new antenna, then drove to Toyota and had the sirius installed with the new antenna in the rear like CJ3 posted, so thank you. No cut outs and sounds great!

I use to LOVE my Sirius, but seems like even they are starting to do alot of talking, chit chat, etc, Ive had mine for a few years, when I first got it, there was next to zero chat, now its getting more and more, but I wont go back the FM, being the mountains and still having good music is nice

Have to agree on with you on this one ric. FM drives me up the wall.

Also routed my XM to the rear of the vehicle.
