New speaks, old HU, WOW

I didn't expect too much of an improvement driven by the old stock HU, but my goodness they sound better!!
Got Polk components in the front doors and had them install some Infinity Kappa's I've had lying around for 5 years in the rear doors.
I'm really stunned by the bass, it sounds pretty darn good.
Of course after seeing the oem speakers it's not too surprising. They are featherweight with the tiniest magnets I've seen on a speaker, about the size of a quarter around and not very thick.
Hoping to get the Pioneer unit in on Sunday and then I really expect to be blown away! (I'm old and not THAT picky, so spare me you younger, boomier guys)

so what factory system do you have? stock non-jbl or stock jbl? the reason why i am wondering is because if you have the stock jbl system, and if that case replacing the speakers made a huge different, then i guess the stock jbl speakers are really sucks.

It's not a huge difference, just more noticable than I expected. I expect it to be significantly better with 50 wpc!
