New SR5 Owner

Just traded in my POS chevy avalanche for a 2008 SR5 V6 4x4. Its the perfect vehicle for us. Between the two kids, two dogs, camper or boat, I'm covered. And I can wheel in it too!

I used to have a Jeep Cherokee, then traded it for the avalanche to pull a camper, then bought a jeep wrangler, lifted and locked both axels, and would follow the other rig where ever we were going (usually Moab as we used to live in UT). Got tired of the two driver thing so bought a motorhome and towed the jeep. Last year I was transferred to TX so I sold the jeep, as it didn't make too much sense here.

Now, got a little pop up camper, the SR5, and $100K later, I finally have the perfect set up for the family. I will actually be passing through Moab in a week and a half, and will have to do some trails. I'm anxious to see how it wheels compared to the wrangler. Not as aggressive I'm sure, but the bigger the lift, the bigger the trails you need to have fun. I think I can have more fun with the SR5!

Congrats! Sounds like you have the "right sized" setup now. 4Runners are not perfect but they're as about as close as you can get in one vehicle:D You have the best color BTW:lmao:

:worthless:

congrats & welcome. i guess our salsa red T4R color is somewhat rare on this forum? well, good luck when you start moddin, keep us posted.

Welcome Ellmer, another Salsa Red 08 here, had to look a little longer for it but still don't see many around. Keep us up to date on what you think of your 4R compared to the Jeep :bigok:

I will. I will be in Moab weekend after next, not to mention some time in the west desert of UT where I can make some high speed runs (the wrangler sucked at those, but the cherokee was fun).
